Action Hero Biju is an upcoming Malayalam film directed by Abrid Shine starring Nivin Pauly in the lead.[2][3] This is Abrid's second venture as a director after his debut 1983 (2014).[4] The movie also marks Nivin's debut as a producer. The script is being handled by Muhammad Shafeeq and Abrid Shine.[5] Gopi Sundar will handle the music.[6] Alex J. Pulickal is doing the cinematography.The filming which started in May 2015 wrapped in October

After the success of his debut venture,[9] director Abrid Shine began pre-production on his second film. He wanted the subject to be action oriented and discussions with Nivin turned it to a police story. In August 2014, Abrid subsequently made an official announcement that his next venture would be titled Action Hero Biju and would feature Nivin in the lead role. The movie started rolling in May 2015.
